Peel Sailing Club

This Friday - 23rd July
'Cook your own' free barbecue at the clubhouse, superior quality burgers and sausages plus baps will be supplied by the club but by all means bring anything you may wish to supplement your meal with.
The barby will be lit from 8.00pm in the back yard which has been cleaned and painted and is now a much improved place to be.

Traditional Boat Weekend - Friday 30th July to Sunday 1st Aug
The Trad Boat Weekend Committee have arranged a 'volunteers' meeting to be held at the club on Monday 26th July at 7pm. We would love to see anyone who has any free time over Trad Boat Weekend come along to the club and volunteer their services. As mentioned in the Nickey we would like volunteers to assist with manning the registration desk, sales table, serving of food, clearing of tables to name but a few tasks. If anyone can't pop along to the club on 26th but would like to help then we'd love to hear from them too. Please contact Mike (mclark@manx.net) or Julie (julie.marshall@manx.net) or Isabel (mlawrence@manx.net) and we will give details of what's required. It does promise to be a fabulous weekend and any offers of help would be very much appreciated.
 
Port Erin Life Boat Day - Raft Races
Port Erin Lifeboat Day on August 15 2010 - The lifeboat team would like to invite you all to enter the Raft Race. The race is to build and enter your own made rafts - try and beat the one made by the Lifeboat Crew! There is also a new race this year open to yacht tenders. Basically a minimum of one person, maximum of two persons (over 16) and no motors must row a short course around the bay for a mere £10.00 donation per dinghy or whatever, all in aid of the RNLI. Entrants can dress in fancy dress if they wish and preferably wear a buoyancy aid.

Come Dine With Me
Anyone who would like to take a turn to organize a 'Come Dine with Me' experience or any event utilising the facilities upstairs please contact Robin or any committee member.
